Adsorbed diphtheria & tetanus vaccine (w/ reduced antigen content)
Indications/Uses
Active immunisation of childn >7 yr, adolescents & adults against tetanus & diphtheria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IM 0.5 mL. Basic vaccination Administer 2 doses w/ 4-wk interval, followed by 3rd dose 6-12 mth after 2nd dose. Booster vaccination Administer 1 dose. Adult w/ basic vaccination Every 10 yr.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Acute febrile illness; exacerbation of chronic diseases; thrombocytopenia/neurological disorders.
Special Precautions
Known allergic reactions. Not to be administered intravascularly. Postpone vaccination until end of therapy in patients undergoing immunosuppressive treatment or w/ immune deficiency. Sensitivity reactions due to thiomersal.
Adverse Reactions
Fever, malaise, inj site reaction &/or pain.
